It has rained and rained most of the week, but I have managed to get out to the park on a couple of days.

Life around the lake has quitened down. The herons have largely left and the egyptian geese have not been around for a while. So I wandered in to the forested parts looking for the little owl. I found an adult and two juveniles hiding in the canopy.

This is one of the juvenile.

At the lake I caught this crested grebe fishing.

One morning I went in to the park at 04:30am and I found the rabbits still out and this one wasn’t too shy.

As the sun broke over the horizon I found this pair of fallow deer in a clearing.

The kestrel nest has hatched, but he chicks are still hidden in the nest. Here are the adults.
