This week I had access to the Nikon AF-S 400mm f/2.8 VR and it has been fun getting to know this “beast”. It is huge and heavy and truly amazing.
I had some initial problems getting the camera and lens fine tuned, but that is largely sorted now. I am still having some issues using it with the AF-S TC20 teleconverter. I don’t feel that the AF fine tune is set correctly yet so I will work on that this week.
It is also very difficult to shoot at 800mm (1200mm full frame equvilent) and not get some camera shake. Hopefully I can find a solution.
Here are some of last weeks catch.
There was something in the air this week. Lots of violent fighting, especially amongst the Egyptian Geese and the Coots and Moorhens. Some great photo oportunities to be had.
I will make a seperate post about this later.
